The Help You Need After An Accident

Firefighter injured in crash while responding to accident

by | Aug 24, 2021 | Motor Vehicle Accidents

Firefighters responded to a car crash early Saturday morning on Elyria Avenue in Elyria Township.

While the firefighters were at the scene, a command car that was blocking traffic was struck by another vehicle.

One firefighter suffered injuries and was transported to an area hospital. An additional person injured in the initial accident was also sent to the hospital. No one else was hurt.

“This is why we block traffic from our accident scenes, had the command car not been there that car could have crashed into EMT’s working on the other patients,” Elyria Township firefighters said in a comment.

Victims may be entitled to compensation

People who suffer injuries in serious car accidents feel trapped. In addition to debilitating physical injuries, they often face medical debt, job loss, and mental trauma.

Although the circumstances may seem dire, victims shouldn’t lose hope. They can file a motor vehicle accident lawsuit if the crash was caused by negligence or wrongdoing. A successful suit may result in significant financial compensation.

The first step is contacting an experienced personal injury lawyer. They can provide a vigorous defense of your rights and launch a thorough investigation to uncover the truth.

Akron residents shouldn’t hesitate to reach out. Car accident lawsuits often taken months to resolve and require extensive discovery. Furthermore, the state imposes a three-year statute of limitations on all personal injury actions.

If cost is a concern, many lawyers offer a free initial consultation at no out-of-pocket cost to the client.
